Zen Word For Better Communication #16 百雑砕 Hyakuzassai

Smash all those unnecessary thoughts to smithereens!

It is difficult for us to get rid of our assumptions.  We tend to effortlessly see something by assumptions or obsessions because we don’t have to examine the various aspects.

However, when our assumptions grow too strong, we suffer.  This is because a fixed idea of “how things should be” arises.  Assumptions, fixed ideas and fixations makes us to fall into our own trap and take away our freedom.

Break down everything that hold your mind and thoughts and be aware of the “unshakable axis” that still remains at the end.  Do not depend on assumptions but face your true self firmly.  Only then will you be able to have a truly free mind and new ideas.

“It’s not worth trying, because I’m seeing the consequences anyway.” If we think negatively, our vision of the futured will narrow, and we will make decisions with limited options and miss opportunities for great growth.   If you break through negative thinking and take on challenges without fear of failure, you will make progress.  – K.Kato
